What more can I say but "Doctor Who"?.... My AMAZING friend wanted a Dr Who quilt; who am I to say no to making a quilt? lol So, after trying a few ideas, I found this great pattern (totally worth the $12 you guys! Link: https://www.craftsy.com/quilting/patterns/relatively-dimensional/197643 )
The dimensions, though, kept changing as her life changed a little- she went from wanted a full size to a KING size because she was getting married (insert happy screams here)! It took me less than a week to piece this bad boy (after figure out my new dimensions for a king size quilt). So, here are some pictures of it getting pieced together. *Side note: I did buy the specialty fabric it recommends for the "Police call box" on top and in the one window pane.
They break it down by sections so here's the first section at top:

I found it easier after I made the top panel to cut the fabric for the rest of them all at once so I could just put them together instead of cutting each piece as I needed it.

We talked about color of thread with the backing being a solid back and the background being black with stars and we came up with using a navy thread so it would pop a little bit. For the quilting itself, I quilted the outlines in the Tardis itself and then stippled the background fabric.
